Intro & Goal
As the Lead Product Manager for Data & Analytics at Informa Plc, my core objective was to revolutionize how we understood and acted upon audience data. The goal was to integrate predictive AI models to effectively map complex media consumption patterns across our digital properties.
Challenges
In a vast media ecosystem, audience journeys are highly fragmented. Traditional analytics tools required heavy manual intervention to generate insights, which caused severe bottlenecks. By the time data was analyzed, the opportunity for real-time marketing optimization had passed. We needed a system that could autonomously understand user intent and execute actions instantly, moving away from static dashboards to an active, agent-driven architecture.
Solution (Technical & Strategic Execution)
To solve this, I led the end-to-end delivery of a next-generation engagement analytics suite. Leveraging my 5+ years of experience in AI & ML frameworks, the solution included:
LLM Integration: I deployed the platform using GPT-4 to process and synthesize vast amounts of unstructured user data.
Autonomous ML Agents: I developed the suite to be powered by machine learning agents that could autonomously track, analyse, and score user behaviour patterns. This utilized modern AI tools and frameworks such as Autogen and CrewAI, alongside Python and FastAPI.
Predictive AI & Recommendations: I integrated predictive AI models to map media consumption patterns and implemented automated insight generation and recommendation systems to push relevant content to users dynamically.
My Role
Product Leadership & Team Mentorship: I led and nurtured a high-performing team to deliver this product excellence, directly managing 2 Product Managers and mentoring an Associate Product Manager.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drawing on my background as a former consultant , I collaborated deeply with data science and technology teams to design and execute these complex changes across the product roadmap.
Stakeholder Storytelling: I drove adoption for these new AI and digital tools by engaging senior stakeholders through structured storytelling, ensuring alignment on the product vision.
Results
Conversion Growth: The automated insight generation directly resulted in a 0.23% conversion uplift.
Engagement Boost: The implementation of automated insight generation and recommendation systems drove 4% higher engagement across the platform.
Operational Agility: The platform successfully enabled real-time marketing optimization, allowing the business to react to user behaviour instantaneously rather than retroactively.
